Helping Brains Learn. Helping People Thrive
What is ABM® NeuroMovement®?
What is ABM® NeuroMovement®?
ABM® NeuroMovement® is a movement-based learning approach that views the brain as a self-organizing, adaptive system.
Rather than pushing the body to perform, it connects with the person’s current state, introducing subtle variations that allow the brain to notice, differentiate, and self-reorganize.
By focusing on abilities rather than limitations, NeuroMovement® helps the brain form new neural connections — creating meaningful change across movement, cognition, and emotional regulation.
Who We Support

Frequently Asked Questions
Many parents and adults have questions when exploring ABM® NeuroMovement® for the first time.
Our most frequently asked questions explain what the method is, how it works, and what you can expect from lessons — helping you take the next step with clarity and confidence.
01. What is ABM® NeuroMovement®?
ABM® NeuroMovement® is a movement-based learning approach that helps the brain improve its organisation and function. By engaging the brain’s natural capacity for change, it supports physical, cognitive, and emotional growth in both children and adults.
02. Can ABM® NeuroMovement® help my child or me?
Yes. The approach has helped individuals of all ages — from newborns to adults over ninety — improve movement, focus, and well-being after developmental, neurological, or physical challenges.
03. How is ABM® NeuroMovement® different from physiotherapy or other therapies?
Physiotherapy often targets the body directly. ABM® NeuroMovement® works through the brain — using gentle movement and awareness to create lasting change in coordination, balance, and comfort.
04. How soon will I notice results?
Many people notice changes during their first intensive — others see progress unfold over days or weeks as the brain integrates new learning. Even small changes in movement, calm, or connection are meaningful signs of progress.
05. Where are lessons held?
Lessons take place at our main centre in Roehampton, London, and with local practitioners in Eltham, Woking, and Hatfield. We also offer visiting intensives across the UK, Ireland, and Europe, and online coaching worldwide.

Posted on Abi FoakesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Annabelle was born at 24 weeks gestation. During her 8 month stay in the NICU she suffered a hypoxic insult which resulted in significant damage to the basal ganglia. She was diagnosed with dystonic cerebral palsy when she was a year old. In the first year of her life the only place my daughter could find comfort was in mine or husband's arms. If we placed her on the floor or in a bassinet she screamed. Shortly after her diagnosis we started physiotherapy, but the only change was that she started to show discomfort even when being held and developed terrible reflux. My husband and I were exhausted, terrified, and grieving. Disillusioned with traditional therapy we turned to alternatives. Acupuncture and craniosacral helped a little but the changes faded soon after the sessions. Then we found ABM and everything changed. I literally saw my child come to life. She was so alert and aware during and after her first lesson. After her first intensive my daughter would lay happily on the floor when I placed her there. Her feeding and sleeping drastically improved, she started to babble, and she began to smile in response to my voice and touch. Annabelle is now a joyful, sociable, bright and determined 8 year old with an amazing sense of humour. She has regular lessons at Connections in Motion and I am always profoundly moved by how loving, connected, potent, and life changing the work is. I strongly believe ABM has transformed the trajectory of my daughter's life and that of my whole family.Posted on Nino RoccoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
